The Last V8 Roar: 2025 Lexus RC F Final Edition Breaks Cover

2025 Lexus RC F Final Edition Breaks Cover

In a fitting farewell to its celebrated RC series, Lexus has unveiled the 2025 RC F Final Edition, marking the end of a decade-long legacy of luxury coupes. With its V8 powertrain and striking design, this limited-edition model signals the final chapter of the RC lineup, slated for retirement after 2025.

Big Price for a Big Exit

The RC F Final Edition arrives with a premium price tag of $94,000, including destination charges, in the United States. This figure represents a significant jump from the base RC F’s $68,295 price in October 2023.

The limited-production RC F Track Edition, however, remains the lineup’s priciest offering at over $101,000. Comparatively, the RC’s competitor, the BMW M4 CS, commands $35,200 more than the M4 Competition xDrive, cementing the RC F’s high-end positioning in its final iteration.

Production Timeline and Legacy

Lexus has confirmed that RC production will cease by the end of 2025, with the Final Edition and other 2025 models hitting dealer lots in early 2025. Over its 11-year production run, the RC series has sold approximately 90,000 units across 62 countries, with 1,854 units sold in the U.S. in 2024, reflecting a modest 5.8% increase from the prior year.

Despite these figures, the RC’s sales pale compared to BMW’s 4 Series, which recorded over 42,000 deliveries in the same period.

Performance Meets Elegance

The RC F Final Edition is powered by a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8, delivering 472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, this rear-wheel-drive coupe is a nod to Lexus’ commitment to performance engineering.

The exterior features GT3-inspired design elements, including a carbon-fiber hood, lightweight BBS alloy wheels, and red brake calipers, complemented by four striking paint options: Sonic Iridium, Incognito, Ultra White, and Radiant Red.

Inside, the cabin is adorned with a black-and-red leather and Ultrasuede interior, exuding luxury and exclusivity. A Final Edition emblem, complete with the vehicle’s production number, graces the front console.

Technology and Features

Despite its modern aspirations, the RC F Final Edition retains some old-school elements, such as a touchpad interface, hinting at its decade-long legacy. Modern features include a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a premium Mark Levinson audio system, ensuring a blend of nostalgia and contemporary luxury.
