Spy Shots Reveal 2026 Audi Q3 Sportback’s Upgraded New Look

Audi is set for a big 2025, and the 2026 Audi Q3 Sportback has already made its spy photo debut during winter testing in Sweden. The camouflaged crossover showcases a sloping roofline, split headlights, a bold grille, and redesigned taillamps inspired by the Q8 e-tron.

The rear design is clean, with hidden exhaust outlets, while familiar features like door-mounted mirrors and a shark fin antenna carry over.

Upgraded Platform and Powertrains

The Q3 Sportback moves to the MQB Evo platform, shared with the A3 and Q6. Expect four-cylinder turbo engines in TFSI and TDI variants, paired with either a dual-clutch or torque-converter automatic.

A manual transmission is unlikely, given Volkswagen’s shift away from them.

Pricing and Market

The Sportback starts at €40,950 ($43,000 USD) in Germany, with optional upgrades like the S line business package costing an extra €6,800 ($7,150 USD).

However, the high-performance RS Q3 Sportback won’t return in its current form, as Audi phases out its iconic five-cylinder engine for more efficient options.

Market Outlook

While the Q3 Sportback won’t be available in the U.S., the standard Q3 will. With Audi’s U.S. sales dropping 14% in 2024, the new Q3 could help reclaim lost ground.

The Q3 remained a bright spot, with 32,090 units sold in 2024, a 45% year-over-year increase.
