2027 Bentley Electric SUV Spotted Testing in Porsche Disguise

Bentley Motors is set to launch its first fully electric SUV in 2026, hitting the market in 2027.

Spy shots from winter testing in Sweden show the vehicle disguised in Porsche Cayenne Electric bodywork, hinting at shared underpinnings with the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture used by Porsche and Audi.

Design & Performance

Though cloaked in Porsche overalls, Bentley’s electric SUV will feature unique bodywork and a bespoke luxury interior. The vehicle is expected to exceed 630 horsepower with a dual-motor AWD system and fast-charging capabilities. It will be slightly smaller than the Bentayga, catering to urban luxury SUV buyers.

Production & Strategy

Manufactured in Crewe, the new SUV aligns with Bentley’s electrification goals while coexisting with the Bentayga, which will retain combustion engine options.

Bentley has postponed its all-electric transition from 2030 to 2035, allowing for continued plug-in hybrid offerings. Despite this shift, Bentley remains committed to annual EV or hybrid releases from 2026 onward.

Performance and Specifications

While specific performance metrics remain undisclosed, industry expectations point towards a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering power exceeding 630 horsepower, surpassing the Macan Turbo Electric’s output.

Bentley is also focusing on developing fast-charging capabilities alongside usable range, ensuring the vehicle meets the high standards expected by its clientele.
